The Big Sky Adapter is fast becoming a preferred tool for installation because it alleviates the problems associated with both high and low nailing of the cement board lap sidings.

It fits over the nosepiece of the Hitachi NV 65, the Bostich N66C-1, the MAX CN565S and any air nail gun that has a round nosepiece of .702 to .705. It provides consistent placement of the nail one inch down from the top of the siding to the center of the nail while still allowing the depth adjustment to function properly. This nail guide helps both the professional and the casual applicator achieve a consistent nailing pattern on every piece of siding.

Building contractor Jerry Tabacco and outside lumber salesman Rep Ron Udall, both of Great Falls, Montana, invented the Big Sky Adapter. After years of wondering why nobody had come up with a dependable gauge for nailing, the pair welded up their own prototype. Now after two years on the market, the Big Sky Adapter is a "big" hit with James Hardie Installers everywhere.
