HardieWrap™ weather barrier is an innovative, higher performing weather barrier that is engineered for climate so you get the right wrap as the second line of defense for your home, no matter what where your home is located. HardieWrap weather barrier provides a balance of water resistance and breathability, allowing moisture (water vapor) from inside your building to escape so the area within the wall stays dry.
James Hardie HardieWrap weather barrier products have been Engineered for Climate. The recently launched HZ geographic segmentation was developed for the variables that affect our exterior claddings. In reviewing the factors that affect the correct usage of weather barrier we determined that they were uniquely similar regions. Colder climates of HZ5 require a higher perm (25) as diffusion of water vapor is from the inside to the outside while in the hot and humid climates of HZ10 the water vapor transmission occurs from the outside to the inside requiring a lower perm (15). HardieWrap weather barriers are now offered in two high performing products recommended** to meet the requirements of HZ5 and HZ10 regions.

HardieWrap™ Pro-FlashingHardieWrap™ Flashing is a high performance, non-woven, tear-resistant butyl rubber self-adhesive. Designed to peel and stick around windows and doors to prevent water and air intrusion and to self-seal around fasteners. . It contains no asphalts, VOCs (volatile organic compounds) or solvents, which can reduce adhesion over time.  HardieWrap™ Flex FlashingHardieWrap™ Flex Flashing is designed to easily stretch and seal around custom shapes — including windows and doorsills — to prevent water and air from entering the building. It contains no asphalts, VOCs (volatile organic compounds) or solvents, which can reduce adhesion over time.  HardieWrap™ Seam TapeHardieWrap™ Seam Tape is designed to seal vertical and horizontal seams and small holes in the weather barrier to prevent air and water infiltration. It contains no asphalts, VOCs (volatile organic compounds) or solvents, which can reduce adhesion over time. ** James Hardie will prescribe to a recommended geographic segmentation, but will not tie the HardieWrap warranty to where it is utilized.
