James Hardie gives homes a unique look that varies from stucco design

Homeowners in Northern California looking for an exterior home design other than stucco have begun to install James Hardie® siding, an innovative product that offers the beauty and character of wood without the maintenance problems. James Hardie siding offers the beauty and character of natural wood without the maintenance problems. James Hardie siding is non-combustible and resists damage from termites, rain, hail, snow, salt air and hurricane force winds. James Hardie can be painted any color and holds paint three to four times longer than wood.

"When customers hear we use James Hardie, people automatically associate us with a high quality home," said Brandon Hill, Pulte Superintendent. "One of the advantages in building with James Hardie is that it cuts down on the cycle duration, from 17 days with stucco to three or four days with James Hardie. That helps our productivity."

James Hardie gives homeowners the added assurance of an up to a 50-year limited transferable product warranty against rotting, cracking and delaminating.

"We asked the sales person to only show us homes with James Hardie siding because we knew that's what we wanted," said Shana Levine, Sacramento homeowner. "The whole reason we bought this house was because it has James Hardie siding on it."
