Builder Survey Says U.S. Homebuyers Will Pay up to 25 Percent More For 'Green' Homes
A new poll of 250 residential builders reveals that homebuyers are willing to pay a premium for more environmentally friendly, green-built homes. More than half of the homebuilders said buyers would pay 11 to 25 percent for such a home. The survey also revealed that the average green buyer is between the ages of 35 and 50.

Green Building Goes Big
Home builders who produced green, environmentally responsible homes grew 20 percent in 2005, and that number is expected to increase another 30 percent this year, according to a new report by McGraw-Hill Construction and the National Association of Home Builders.
