Thank you for your interest in James Hardie Building Products. As a leader in developing better performing building materials, we appreciate the opportunity to make your vision possible. These guidelines are designed to help you understand our charitable giving program.

Our giving program focuses primarily on delivering on the James Hardie brand promise of enabling "A Better Way to Build". This includes providing quality housing for people in need and improving the built environment particularly through solution-oriented programs related to higher quality, sustainability, long-term value and character of homes and communities.

  • Sustainability - Delivering smarter, sustainable design solutions
  • Community - Improving the welfare of the people in the communities where our employees live. We support a variety of non-profits including health and human services, civic, education, safety, recreation, veterans, arts, shelter and environmental organizations.
  • Giving in our communities.

Types of Support

  • Product donations
  • Sponsorships
  • Volunteer support

Special Considerations — Priority consideration is given to organizations and programs

  • with James Hardie employee, retiree or significant volunteer involvement;
  • that are geographically located in a community where James Hardie has a facility or substantial presence

Eligibility Guidelines —

  • tax exempt 501c(3) organizations
  • organizations located in communities where James Hardie operates
  • national organizations whose missions relate to architecture and design, building industry, community

Restrictions — In order to maintain focus and achieve greater impact, James Hardie usually does not provide financial support to:

  1. Requests for individuals
  2. Religious organization fundraising
  3. Political / lobbying organizations
  4. Travel for individuals or groups
  5. Fundraising events or activities, social events or goodwill advertising except where James Hardie employees are participating
  6. For-profit organizations

Review Process — Proposals are reviewed throughout the year. We require a minimum of 30 days to review requests.
