James Hardie Donates $50,000 in Exterior Panel System Product to Aid Construction of Chicago Children's Advocacy Center

CHICAGO (April 7, 2014) – James Hardie Building Products announced today the donation of $50,000 in Hardie® Reveal® Panel System product for the renovation and expansion of Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center (ChicagoCAC) in the city’s Illinois Medical District neighborhood. ChicagoCAC and its partners are the city’s front-line responders to suspected physical abuse of children under age 3, as well as to reports of child sexual abuse. The center is adding an 18,000 square-foot expansion to better support the families it serves.

“James Hardie is proud to make this donation to help create a modern facility that is both child- and family-friendly, and represents the look and feel of the surrounding neighborhood,” said Rob Sorba, national segments manager at James Hardie Building Products. “We support the mission of ChicagoCAC and are proud to provide an in-kind donation to advance the organization’s charge to battle abuse and provide a respite for individuals and families in need.”

The groundbreaking celebration took place on April 1 at the site of the facility located at 1240 South Damen Avenue in Chicago. The new construction and renovations are expected to be complete by December 2014.
